Forged by hand from spring steel, this arming sword draws its inspiration from the one-handed swords of medieval Europe. Simple, effective, and reliable, this sword is a fully functional weapon forged with a full tang and a blunted edge. Having a full tang means the metal blade extends into the handle as one piece, giving the weapon strength and balance.

The unsharpened, double-edged blade has a narrow fuller down the forte. The fuller removes excess material from the blade without affecting its balance or integrity. The sword has a diamond-shaped cross section along the foible. At the end, the foible has a rounded tip for safe thrusting attacks. Please note this sword is handmade, meaning it may vary slightly in color and shape. Keep in mind that any minor notches along the blade are not defects in the combat sword’s design, but are the result of resistance testing.

Moving down to the hilt, this sword has a traditional blocky crossguard. Each quillon angles slightly toward the blade, and it also has a slight taper in the quillon block in the middle. The handle is wrapped in black leather. Accommodating a one-handed grip, this handle makes it easy to wield a shield or another weapon in the other hand. At the bottom, the sword has a disc-shaped pommel peened over the handle.
