Forged by hand from spring steel, this medieval sword is a fully functional weapon with a full tang that’s designed to withstand reenactments, light sparring, and more. This fully functional weapon has a full tang, meaning the metal blade extends into the handle as one piece, giving the weapon strength and balance. Inspired by bastard swords from the medieval period, this stage combat sword has a hand-and-a-half grip.

The straight, unsharpened blade has a wide fuller down the forte. Not only does the fuller remove excess weight from the blade, it also bolsters the edges. At the end, the tip is round for added safety. Please note this sword is handmade, meaning it may vary slightly in color and shape. Keep in mind that any minor notches along the blade are not defects in the combat sword’s design, but are the result of resistance testing.

Moving down to the hilt, the crossguard curls toward the blade and has a rectangular cross section. The wooden handle is riveted to the tang and is grooved for a secure grip. This handle accommodates a hand-and-a-half grip, meaning you can wield it with one or both hands. At the bottom, the Eldred sword has a key-shaped steel pommel.
