The other section overlaps the first one and rests below the knee. Also, the greaves secure to the leg with two straps and buckles. The straps are adjustable. The sides of the top section curve towards the top strap, so that there is less leather covering the calf towards the knee. The greave has a raised cutout at the bottom to improve mobility. A scale design and a floral scrollwork motif decorate the greaves. They are sold as a pair. Wearing padding underneath is recommended. • Remove dirt with a hard brush, then gently clean with leather soap and a soft, damp cloth. Remove soap with a separate damp cloth, then use a dry cloth to wipe away remaining water. Let dry naturally. Condition with oil or polish, then wipe with a final cloth to remove excess residue.
