The Franks and other Germanic cultures fought during the end of the Roman empire. They fought with throwing axes like this Franziska Throwing Axe. Made from ash wood and steel, this axe has a unique shape. Its ash wood haft is gently curved with a small knob at the bottom. The haft connects to the axe head with a single socket. The narrow head curves away from the haft in a gentle S-shape on top, flaring up at the tip of the blade. In addition, the bottom edge of the axe head forms a sharper curve downward. Also, the head has a rough finish while the blade has a blunted edge. This stage fighting axe is great for controlled reenactments and theater productions.

This item is handmade, therefore, it may vary slightly from what is shown above.
