Keep your neck protected wearing the polished Dungeons & Dragons Steel Gorget. Every adventurer needs a reliable gorget to keep themselves protected when clearing dungeons and slaying monsters, and this steel gorget promises to impress in your dungeon gear.
Forged for Encounters in the Forgotten Realms
Forged from 18 gauge steel, this medieval gorget is intended for LARP combat and costuming. Whether you’re a Paladin clad in divine light, a ruthless Fighter seeking your next mercenary contract, or a mighty Cleric defending the temple, this gorget complements a wide variety of D&D character ideas.
The gorget comes to you as two distinct pieces. In the front, the curved plate protecting the neck has two straps facing opposite directions. A brass ring beneath the concave section in front gives you different attachment options. These allow the front plate to be removed. The back plate is round and held together by pairs of rivets. The gorget’s edges are contoured, meaning they face away from you for easier wearing and protection.
The straps above facing to the side are for attaching shoulder armour pieces like pauldrons and spaulders and these straps have different lengths. These straps are designed to attach to the Dungeons & Dragons Steel Pauldrons (BG-1307). The gorget’s concave and contoured design pairs well with the Dungeons & Dragons Steel Torso (BG-1305).
Become a Champion of D&D
Gorgets are excellent armour for neck protection and for attaching pauldrons and spaulders. The straps on top can be used to secure different shoulder armour pieces. The gorget’s wide design also helps distribute the weight, especially while worn on a padded mantle.
When purchasing armour pieces, it is best to stay within the brand to ensure the best compatibility. This fantasy steel gorget pairs excellently with other armour from the Dungeons & Dragons: A Call to Arms brand. Wear this steel gorget over padded arming wear like the Dungeons & Dragons Basic (BG-1296) and Studded (BG-1297) gambesons or you can wear a padded mantle underneath. Padded arming wear cushions you to ensure the steel plate doesn’t chafe and can help distribute the weight to make it easier to wear for long periods of time.
D&D characters of all kinds can wear this steel neck piece as a part of their ensemble. Rangers, Rogues, Clerics, and even magic users can wear this steel collar for neck coverage with a hint of armoured style. For spellcasters looking to create a “Battle Mage” ensemble, this gorget is a great choice. The polished gorget is a great addition to Renaissance fair costumes, armoured LARP characters, and cosplay conventions alike.
