Availability: In stock

Simple yet becoming, this traditional tabard makes an excellent addition to your medieval knight ensemble. The George Tabard comes in a wide array of beautiful colors that are trimmed with black along the bottom hem and slits. You can easily add your own coat of arms or other heraldry to the garment to help it stand out at the Renaissance fair or other historical re-enactment. The slits appear in front and back, offering excellent freedom of movement to the design. This medieval tabard fits snugly around the shoulders and chest yet has a looser cut as it reaches the hips. The period tabard tends to run small, so you may wish to order a size larger than usual.

This item is handmade, therefore, it may vary slightly from what is shown above.

The "George" tabard (really a surcoat) reminds one of the "classic" knightly arming wear. The sizing is accurate. I'm around a size 44, so the XL version is from fitting, but leaves some room from my micro mail shirt as well as middle ages shirt underneath. The material is very stout, and will work great for the wear and tear in the larp that I play. The colors vary just slightly from the photos, they are a little more subdued. The sudued coloration is actually better IMO. Overall, this is great!

I'm 6'3" and 220 pounds, this tabbard fits over my body while wearing a padded gambeson and chainmail hauberk, I ordered the blue one in XL. It's a little tricky to get on over the gambeson and chainmail but thats because of the design being closed on the sides. The biggest gripe I have about this product is the color. Like I mentioned, I ordered the blue one, and the color was nothing like in the sample picture. The picture shows a medium blue, the tabard i received was a dark blue, almost navy blue. In certain lights it looks black, not the look I was going for. Other than the color, I'm overall satisfied with this product. I might order another color, I just hope the other colors are close to the ones in the pictures.

I just got in the XL Grey/Blk. I am 6'3 and 225lbs and this fits me perfectly. The quality of it is a lot better than I anticipated for $34. I am really really pleased with this product. I use it for a LARP and might order myself a few different colors for when I NPC.
